National Raspberries and Creme day
Did you know…
There are more than 200 species of raspberries.
Scotland grows an abundance of raspberries. Raspberries love their fertile, well-drained soils.
However, Russia produces the most raspberries in the world at 120,000 tons per year.
Besides red, raspberries come in purple, gold and black colors, too.
Unlike other fruits, raspberries don’t ripen off the shrub. If picked green, the raspberry will not sweeten or soften.
Did you know Prince would have loved this day? Creme… get on top. Don’t you stop. She wore a Raspberry beret. The kind you find in a second hand store.. LOL

Segment 1:
Topic 1 – July VIP Dev Round table
Quote “I’d like to do is be able to support just about anything that you could do in like a D&D style game or some of the stuff you could do in like a Magic the Gathering game like all kinds of cool things like stripping spells grouping up to counter spells so that multiple people have to counter it”

A lot of people in the forums and on Reddit are thinking this sounds like interrupt armor from Wildstar of all games? Thoughts?

Topic 2 – WoW Classic looms in the near future. Make a double-edged sword argument as to why WoW Classic is the BEST and WORST thing for Visionary realms.

Tess-Best: it revitalizes a desire to get back to slower, more goal-oriented MMOs. Bad: VR needs to be judicious with how they release information so they don’t get buried or get considered irrelevant.

Militus – Best thing… so people can put aside their expectations of VR. Worst thing …. People will forge new relationships, build new communities, and those communities may never transition to Pantheon when it launches.

Boom –

Topic 3 – Apathy for the future adventurers in Pantheon.
Let’s be #pantheonHonest. The apathy is palpable, and that is okay. What is not okay is pretending like it does not exist. I watched Baz’ video and he speculated (with good Math) that we will see 29+ zones in Pantheon. ONE OF THOSE ZONES is project faerthale.

If we do a bit more Math… if they FINISH PF next month (which is unlikely), that would mean they have been dark and emphasizing this project for 8 months (and I am being conservative). One of the arguments people have made is …’that is okay, they are building a template that will make zone building fast.”

Okay, let’s say that it makes zone building 75% faster! (a stretch, I know). That means it would only take them 2 months to fully flesh out a zone…. 28X2 = 56 months.

Segment 2: Pantheon Patient
Tess – Playing some WoW and getting ready for school to start again.

Militus – I have tried to play BfA…. I mean, really tried. Just cannot do it. I have, however, been playing a lot of a WoW TBC private server. It is a different game… PERIOD.

Boom – So much Division 2, 390 ilvl WoW, Forza 4, Ranked Rocket League, iRacing, Ranked SMITE
Pantheon, please make something in game like Dark Zones. They are so much fun.

Boom has an idea. A dungeon where you earn loot, but the loot isn’t safe until you escape the dungeon. Then if you die while in the dungeon the NPC that kills you gets that loot and equips it giving them a better chance of keeping you from escaping with the loot.

Gnome Summoner fan art, I’ve got a way to go to completion (more details, posing and so on) but wanted to share because Pantheon! Hope you enjoy!

Thank you to Fargrim, you unlike VR, have showed me an idea of the summoner. Come on VR. Release some images and gameplay of the summoner class!

Virtual vs Physical Worlds – what drives us to both (Psychology Study) by Cs1310_

To participate in this study and do the questionnaire, you need to be an MMO player and 18+. I’m a master student doing placement and a project for my supervisor, Mark Coulson, in Middlesex University. This is an exploratory study examining preferences, likes/dislikes, and problems in both virtual and physical worlds.

This study will attempt to understand why people play MMOs, because MMOs can be thought of as a whole new virtual life and persona. Many people play for many reasons and have numerous motivations, some might have to do with escapism and some not. We hope to reduce stigma and get an idea of what drives people to either virtual or physical worlds. What we’re interested in is what keeps us in virtual or physical worlds, what pushes us away in both and what attracts us in both. This is one of the first kind of studies looking at this phenomena in this way. As gamers ourselves, we know the importance of virtual worlds and, therefore, we will not underplay any aspects of virtual worlds. On a personal note, I play quite a bit myself, so this topic interests me. When the questionnaire is done, we’d like to give back to all participants and summarise the results and theories to any who want to give their email at the end of the survey. Understandably, many people do not like taking questionnaires. Hell, I don’t like taking them and here I am distributing them to you people. However, they can be useful finding information and I hope this is such a time. This post was kindly granted permission from the moderators.

The survey will take, approximately, 35-45 minutes to complete and is extensive. If anything, it shares the grind to MMOs 😉 The survey will ask many questions about your life, in general, and then ask you to compare virtual worlds to the physical world. Some participants have found the questionnaire reflective, because it asks participants to compare distinctions of virtual vs physicals worlds in ways which may not normally be considered. No personal identifiable data is collected, the findings are for academic purposes and adhere to Middlesex University’s GDPR.

Good luck!

Please ask any questions.
